Stuff Susie Made Cats at Neko No Niwa - Signapore's first Cat Cafe!

The Kitty Cupcakes Chilling at the Cat Cafe!

So here are two things I'm thrilled about!  One is it's Christmas so I get to pig out on yummy food.  Second is that Stuff Susie Made cats are now being sold at Singapore's first Cat Cafe - Neko No Niwa at Boat Quay!

This is fab not only because you can now visit the cafe to have a touch and feel of our kitty cupcakes, and knitting cats and smelly cats (they really come into their own when you can actually smell them...) etc. But you can enjoy the company of gorgeous and affectionate kitties even if you don't have a cat at home!

You can spot the cafe from amongst the Boat Quay eateries by the ADORABLE sign on level 2.

They have a 'cuddle charge' of $12 per hour to contribute to the kitties' upkeep and you can enjoy a refreshing drink with the cats at reasonable prices - and of course you can also browse and adopt a Stuff Susie Made cat at the same time!!!!

Hug me.

Cat Nests can also be ordered through Neko No Niwa - this one is on display there for the use of all Niwa Cats.

Captions Competition! Win a pink bat!

I've been rummaging in my pictures folder and found some images that might be fun as postcards:

...and my attempts at funny captions stop about here - the comic muse has left the building - perhaps some of you want to have a go?  Can you think of LOL, witty or plain cute captions for the images below?

Since Halloween is coming up, I'll make this a Halloween Captions Competition, and will be giving away this very scary pink bat as a prize (don't you dare call her cute!):

The winner will be the writer of the caption that makes me laugh out loud the longest.  I will announce the winner on Halloween (31st October).  The rules are as follows:

a. Please comment on this post with your proposed captions (remember to identify the image you're captioning); and
b. Keep it clean please people!

Good Luck!!!

Crushed cinnamon quills and tangerine oil - make the best scent for little Kitty Danglies!

Cinnamon. Rocks.  And if you add a drop of tangerine oil then a pinch of nutmeg, it's even more awesome. That's my fave spice mix for cakes and as I'm perpetually thinking of cakes these days (trying to lose some post-preg weight by cutting down desserts...), this spice mix came to mind when I was thinking of what scent to put into my Kitty Danglies for the Cats of the World Purrzaar

Like my fluffy tail?
I was thinking of lavender, and will stuff some of these cuties with that.  Though I had no lavender on hand yesterday, and was wondering around the kitchen when the cinnamon quills that've been hanging around idling on my spice shelf caught my eye.

Why not crush some quills, pop them in porous bags then stuff them in the danglies?  Why not indeed. Thus the pestle and mortar was got out and quills promptly crushed.

Putting the gorgeously scented concoction into the tiny teabag-like inners is a bit fiddly but well worth it for the lovely warming scent these danglies carry.  Will be devoting the morning to sewing some tails on the cats before crushing more cinnamon for filling.

I shall be busy sewing while baby Evie helps me blog.  Her protests of the moral repugnance of child labour fell on deaf ears.
